Alyssa is a skilled writer, editor, and communications expert with experience in journalism and marketing. She shows scrupulous attention to detail and care for every project she undertakes. Alyssa interacts well with clients from various arenas and shows flexibility and commitment to creating a quality finished product. 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University. She worked for seven years as a newspaper reporter in New York and Pennsylvania covering primarily city government and education. Alyssa then worked as a staff writer for a liberal arts college. 

After moving to Michigan, Alyssa worked in the marketing department for a major Midwest law firm and then as a public relations consultant and copywriter for a marketing and communications firm. 

She started her own writing and communications services business in 2005 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

She has worked with clients from a variety of areas including health care, education, law, community based non-profits, business, and publishing.

Her writing services include news and feature articles, newsletters, brochures, web copy, press releases, marketing copy, and more. She is also a skilled copyeditor and interviewer.
